Frequently Asked Questions

How can a hot tub improve my lifestyle?

Using a hot tub can provide many physical benefits such as relieving muscle and joint pain. It can also improve your mental wellbeing by giving you time to destress.

How does a hot tub help you relax after a long day?

Getting enough sleep is a key factor of a healthy lifestyle. Your body needs time to recover in order to work properly. It’s proven that the therapeutic power of those jets and the water can help you to relax your muscles and as a consequence have better sleep.

How much does it cost to run a hot tub on a monthly basis?

While this answer can vary depending on weather, location, size of tub and chemical regimen, most experts say you can expect to spend on average $1 per day on your hot tub.

Do the filters need to be changed? How often?

The size of the filter impacts how often you should change your filters. Smaller filters may need to be replaced every 3-4 months, whereas larger filters could last more than a year.

What is the ideal temperature for the hot tub water?

The water temperature in a hot tub needs to be at least 80 F for chemical dissolution and should never go over 104 F for health safety.

How often do I need to change my water?

When Total Dissolved Solids level (TDS)  is greater than 2,500 parts per million the water needs to be changed. On average, this is every 4-6 months.

Do I need an electrician to install my hot tub?

It depends. “Plug and Play” hot tubs run on 110V and can simply be plugged into a household outlet. However, 220V tubs require an electrician for installation.

How often should I test my water?

Good practice would be to home test weekly using a basic test kit and get a more in depth test at your local hot tub specialist every 2-4 weeks.

How do I fill my hot tub?

Always fill through the filter bay, and if using water with high metal or calcium levels a hose filter attachment should be used. Chemicals should not be added until the water is at least 80 F with the jets running to aid with dissolution.

What do I need to do to prep my yard for a hot tub?

It’s easy! Simply pick a location, typically on a concrete pad or deck, and our crew will deliver the tub to your location and place it where you want. We will even use cranes and other equipment if necessary for hard to access spaces in your yard.

Can you install optional add-ons like Wi-Fi controls and speakers?
