Traditional or Infrared: Which Heat Experience Do You Prefer?
Prefer a hotter room with heated sauna stones? A traditional sauna offers that experience, with the option to add water to the stones according to the heater’s instructions.
Prefer a lower air temperature? An infrared sauna uses panels that deliver radiant heat directly to your body. The two types feel different, so your heat preference matters when choosing.
Our Durham team can help you compare models, sizes, and electrical requirements. Call ahead to confirm which models you can view in the showroom.
| What to compare | Infrared Sauna | Traditional Sauna |
|---|---|---|
| Heating Source | Â Infrared panels | Â Heater with sauna stones |
| Experience | Radiant heat at a lower air temperature | Hotter room; water can be added to the stones as directed |

Can I see Finnleo saunas at the Durham showroom?
Contact our Durham team to confirm the current sauna displays. Bring your room measurements and a photo of your space so we can help you compare sizes and layouts.
How do I choose the right sauna size for my home?
Start with how many people will use it and whether you want room to stretch out. Compare the seating layout and exterior dimensions, then check ceiling clearance, door swing, and the access needed for delivery and assembly.
How much does a Finnleo home sauna cost?
The price depends on the model, size, heating system, and selected options. Request a quote for the sauna you’re considering, and confirm which delivery and assembly costs are included. Budget separately for any required electrical or site preparation work.
What should I confirm about sauna delivery and assembly?
Share your ZIP code and photos of the installation space and access route. Mention stairs, narrow doorways, or gates. Before ordering, confirm delivery coverage, assembly arrangements, charges, and what you need to prepare.
Does my sauna need a 15-amp or 20-amp circuit?
That depends on the exact model and heater. Finnleo models have different voltage, circuit, and connection requirements; some require other circuit ratings. Confirm the manufacturer’s specifications for your chosen model and have a qualified electrician assess any required work.
